At the top of the show, Adam talks about the new live show format he’s developing called ‘Adam Carolla Is Unprepared.’ He also reacts to a Twitter exchange between Alyssa Milano and James Woods, as well as Michelle Obama’s interview on Oprah’s podcast. The guys then go on to discuss people attempting to change history through pop culture, and they take a call from Alonzo Bodden to chat about trying to sell his car online, and updates on his love life. After the call, Adam talks about how important it is to have a project to work on, and everyone laughs at ridiculous clips from Kung Fu.

2014.12.05 13:46 pcgamingisted Bon Jovi Guitar and Bass videos inside! Enjoy!

Top secret footage of the UbiSF/Bon Jovi licensing meeting
SHOT THROUGH THE HEART AND YOU'RE TO BLAME. BON JOVI NOW HAS A 5 PACK OF HIT SONGS INCLUDING IT'S MY LIFE AND LIVIN' ON A PRAYER...IN THE GAME (It kinda fits the tune, right?)
Funnily enough, a couple of weeks ago I was asking my fellow IRCers (come join!) if they expected any Jovi before the year was out - and look what happened! To me, Bon Jovi is one of those 'Rhythm Game Standards' when it comes to licensing. HMX even liked him so much they put out a 12 pack of Greatest Hits, and even had him on the setlist for Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2.
It's My Life on Bass is D Drop C, and Blaze of Glory on Bass is Drop D
Fun facts
The songs - Trying something a bit different this week!
Lead - I thoroughly enjoyed this pack on Lead. The three songs (and arguably the bands most popular songs) off Slippery When Wet (Livin' on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name and Wanted Dead or Alive) are a blast, and a decent mix between chords, riffs and solos in that 80s style we all love. If you have to pick and choose from this pack, these three songs are a must - I think Wanted Dead or Alive has shot up to become one of my favourite charts in the game. Blaze of Glory is a solo effort by Bon Jovi and is much slower in its playstyle but still has a solo you're going to want to slow down. It's My Life is definitely the easier of the pack, mainly consisting of power chords with a short solo near the middle.
Rhythm - Having played Rhythm first, I really liked it. But after I played Lead, I felt a bit disappointed in how similar it was to Rhythm while being "better" by having the solos to break up any repetitiveness. Some songs are great on Rhythm regardless though, notably Blaze of Glory and Wanted Dead or Alive, but for the others I'd suggest just push yourself to learn the Lead charts as you'll end up enjoying it more.
Bass - Nothing groundbreaking here! Just some really solid bass lines that hold the songs together well (like Livin' on a Prayer). The hardest thing about most of these is that they're very constant and you never have much time to take a break, like the first verse in You Give Love a Bad Name. Overall I did enjoy the bass this week, and it obviously helps if you like the songs.
Disclaimer - Pretty much all my videos are recorded on my first playthrough with minimal-to-no riff repeater being used (except to level it up). They're not entirely meant to show skill, just the chart (but if you think I'm good then yay!) Like, subscribe, comment, ask any questions you have!
If the video is blocked in your country for whatever reason, try using http://proxmate.dave.cx/ to get around this block. Remember to never input personal info/passwords in to proxies you don't own yourself!

I loved, loved, loved you as the Devil in Reaper. The role suited you well. I wanted to thank you for playing some of my favorite roles (Devil, Leland Palmer); it's always a pleasure seeing you in guest roles (Psych, HIMYM) too. Can't wait to see you in Night of the Living Deb. With the recent news of the return of Twin Peaks I was wondering, has there been any discussions about Reaper continuing in some form (movie, etc)? Long shot I know but thought I'd ask. Oh my! I would love for Reaper to continue in some form. I so enjoyed playing the Devil - I could have played him for at least 5, 6, 7 more years. And they had story lines that could go on that long, with a wealth of material. But the CW network felt that we weren't within their demographic, so I suppose that was the reason we were cancelled when we were. And I wish that it would've gone on, and if anyone, you know, has a start up campaign to make a Reaper movie or to do a Reaper miniseries or anything like that, please let ME Know about it, and I will do all I can to support you, because i would love to support you any way I can! The Devil was great! And I don't mean it from a religious standpoint, I mean that he was a great character to play and I could do that all the time! There have been SO many of them, you know? I was Heather Locklear's fiancé on TJ Hooker. I was a stalker after Jamie Lee Curtis in Charlie's Angels. I've had wonderful girlfriends and wives and beautiful relationships with a variety of wonderful actresses, and they were all great experiences. And I suppose my character, Leland Palmer was very dear to me, and the Devil, but I've played some recurring characters on other shows. I played one on the original Dallas, a photographer by the name of Blair Sullivan, and I was the photographer of Little Lucy on Dallas, so they've all been wonderful experiences, and I've worked with great people. It would be impossible to pick one.
What's been your favorite guest role (or experience) on TV? And then of course - I have to add this, because it means a lot to me - playing Skip Remming on NEWSREADERS is a joy beyond joys, because I have patterned him at least in the physical sense after my own father, who passed away several years ago, but he lived to be the ripe old age of 89, I loved him dearly, he was a WWII veteran and my hero, so all the physical gestures and the way he walks and moves his arms - that's all my dad, and my dad was a far cry from Skip as far as being prejudicial towards certain things, but I do so enjoy playing Skip and listening to him vent his feelings about every subject imaginable. And I look forward to all 14 episodes of NEWSREADERS. I believe they've aired 2 already, and I think we have 12 more to go! With some great people, great co-stars on the shows, and they just keep getting better and better.
Oh, my! My favorite guest role or experience on TV?
Thank you so so much for the reply. Great to hear some of your highlights, especially with so many to choose from. I'll keep hoping Reaper comes back then in some form - I'll pledge whatever need be to have you back as the Devil, short of my soul (but maybe someone else's if I can). OH, that's great! that's wonderful!
I'll be sure to tune into NEWSREADERS now that I know you're there. Thanks for the encouragement and support. I'll try to keep on keepin' on.
What was it like working on Robocop? Oh, it was great fun! I mean, me and the gang of bad guys - all of us - we were just like, you know, 12 year old boys blowing up the neighborhood with firecrackers!
There was an entire block in a section of Dallas, Texas, that was scheduled to be demolished, and we shot there for a couple nights, some night scenes where we just blew that entire block up with our explosions. All the store fronts were blown up - you'll remember that particular scene, where we're trying out our new 50 caliber guns on the storefronts of that street in Dallas - and we blew up that whole street and had a WHALE of a time doing it.
And then of course, we went to outside of Pittsburgh to an old steel mill, that was closed down, because they don't make any steel there anymore, it's been shipped out to other countries I believe which is a shame, but in that steel mill was the largest blast furnace on earth.
And so that was a great time - running after Robocop and trying to blow him up in that steel mill! And then of course as my character Leon, I was able to drop a big piece of scrap iron on top of Robo, and knock 'em down, but then his sidekick, the Nancy Allen character, shot a rocket at me up in that crane-booth and blew my character up.
And I still - for that particular explosion, they had put my costume on a dummy that looked a little like me, and so when that crane booth blew up, it looked like I was being blown up, and they gave me that costume off of that dummy after the explosion, and I still have it. It's all in tatters, with all these burn marks all over it, and it's still in my closet.
At what point during the of filming twin peaks did you find out that leland killed Laura Palmer? Before you discovered Leland was the killer, who did you think killed her? Also, will you be returning for the new season in 2016? It was right after the Emmy Awards that year, I remember. We were just about ready to shoot the reveal scene where Laura's cousin Maddie gets killed, and David and Mark Frost called myself, Sheryl Lee (who played Maddie) and Richard Beymer (who played Ben Horn) into a little meeting before we started to shoot that show. And it was in that little meeting that David said to me "Ray, it's you, it's always been you," and that's when I found out that my character, Leland Palmer, was the killer of Laura Palmer. I was momentarily shattered by it, because i didn't want to leave town. And the whole idea of being the killer of my own daughter, even fictionally on the show, didn't sit very well with me. And so I was hoping the whole time we were doing the show that it wasn't going to be me, and I could have made a great case for it to be ANYBODY in that town - the reason Ben Horn was in that meeting was because when we shot that scene, where Maddie was murdered, three different characters, 3 different people killed her that day.
It seems as though the cast of Twin Peaks is up for anything in terms of storyline. Was there ever a time when you were reading a script and thought, this is a completely different direction than where I thought it was going? Or did nothing surprise you as the series got going? How are Mark Frost and David Lynch doing these days? Do you get a chance to talk to them socially or is it strictly a work relationship? Oh well, as I read the scripts, everything surprised me! We didn't know from one week to the next what our characters would be doing, or what direction they were moving towards, and I never dreamed that I would be the focal point of the Laura Palmer murder mystery. It was constantly a surprise, and that's the way we liked it, because in real life, every day is a surprise, isn't it? So in that sense, it was just like real life. I haven't talked to Mark Frost since TWIN PEAKS, almost 25 years ago, but I have met with David on many occasions since then, just recently for the premiere screening of the missing pieces of TWIN PEAKS for the new blu-ray set. And we were together that evening at the Bigfoot Lodge, and we had a good time with all the other cast members, and I've been to other functions with David, down at the Orange County art museum when they paid tribute to him and he invited me to come down and sit with him at the tribute, and again, we talked for several hours and we've talked often about TWIN PEAKS and our experiences and the rest of the cast members, what they were up to, and if indeed, TWIN PEAKS was still out there in the ether, and David always said the town of TWIN PEAKS is still there, with people in it, leading their daily lives, and perhaps one day we can get back to it.
I just have a simple question for you, what is your favorite go to movie to watch? My favorite go-to movie to watch? Oh my ! Let me think! Haha! Well, you're going to think this is kind of silly I guess, but one of my favorite comfort films is The Horror of Dracula, starring Christopher Lee. Yeah, I know, it sounds crazy, but watching that movie relaxes me! But there are quite a few movies that I like watching more than once. And i Have a wide range of taste as far as movies go. One movie in particular that I could watch over and over again, it's about 3 hours long, and it's called "Nicolas and Alexandra" about the last Tsar of Russia, before the Revolution, and of course they and all of their daughters and little son were killed by the Revolution. And there's the great character of Rasputin - the mad monk who was the religious adviser to the Tsarina - a lot of great characters in the film, so I enjoy that one over and over again. Another film I enjoy watching over & over is "Rain Tree County" with Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift, and it's a Civil War Drama, takes place in the South, and I just love the story, the characters, and the epic sweep of the entire movie. I can watch that one again and again.
Hey! I recently finished Twin Peaks and you were great. Questions: 1) How did you change your hair color so quickly? It was magical. 2) Have you ever seen an albino squirrel. They're quite rare. Also, if you're ever near Dallas, Texas let's grab some pizza. 1) Hahahaha! Well, after Leland Palmer killed Jacques in the hospital bed, it seems that his hair turned white overnight, and I suppose it's because of the tremendous shock of what he had done - you know, the heinous act that he committed. And it took a visit to the beauty parlor here in San Fernando Valley and a major amount of chemicals to turn my dark brown hair into white hair, I remember the initial process took about 4 hours, as I recall, and it wasn't very pleasant, and then every couple of weeks I had to get my roots done, which I had never imagined I would ever have to do in my lifetime! So I had to keep my hair white for 4,5,6 months while we finished up my part of the series, and it just goes to show you, some of the things an actor'll do to play a character that he loves.
2) I believe I've seen photographs of them, but I've not seen one up close & personal in nature. But i once owned an albino parakeet. I had one of those for several years. He was beautiful, white little parakeet with pink eyes, and he was extremely smart, I liked him a lot. And that's my relationship with albinos.
Ray! You were "killer" on twin peaks! Also you were in a couple episodes of star trek, what was being on that set like? Mmm. Yes! I did STAR TREK: TNG in an episode called "Who watches the Watchers?" and I played the character of Liko, and he was a kind of a lower-case Vulcan. He was a Mintaken, I believe. And he looked like a Vulcan, but wasn't as smart as a Vulcan. And I called him a "dense Vulcan." And that was great fun doing that show, with Jonathan Frakes and Patrick Stewart, Frakes was an old buddy of mine, we did theater together in NY back in the 70's, and Stewart is a very fine actor, and so we enjoyed all of our scenes together.

Questions Answers
1.What's it like being on the Bones set? 2.You got to work with Rupert Grint on the CBGB set; is he as cool as I hope he is? Bones is the best TV show I've worked on. The actors and crew are amazing. We've all really formed a bond, and I think that's why the show does well, and stays hot. It all starts and ends with chemistry.
Rupert is great. What a life that guy has led. Ps, the carpet matches the drapes.
If you could choose ANY actress to star as your love interest in a movie, who would it be? Me in a wig.
Ok, seriously... There are a ton of actresses I respect. Some I have already worked along side, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, Amber Tamblyn, Malin Akerman, and many others. There are my kid dream come true moments like working with Heather Locklear. But looking forward, to me it's more about the pairing of people than certain stars. I could have a thought about working with someone, and it could turn out badly because the pairing isn't right.
Hi Joel, in Grandma's Boy, how did Alex (Allen Covert) see you when you were using your stealth skills on the wall? Still have yet to figure that out. I was using all my mental power to 'disguise' myself into incognito inception (it's a dream like state that I don't even recognize myself.
Are you going to act with that group of actors in another movie again in the future? I love those guys, and we always talk creative and are looking to work together again.
Hi Joel! In Dodgeball, when you are being "trained" by Patches O'Houlihan, what was actually being thrown at you? Good question: a soft foam version of dodge balls, and foam wrenches. Sorry for the spoilers everyone. We didn't all go to the hospital after that scene.
How long did it take to get prepped up for Avatar?? Well, Cameron took us all to Hawaii to rehearse the scenes out in the tropical forest, so we could get a chance to feel what it was like to perform in a forest before we took it back into a mo-cap studio. He thinks of everything. That's why he is who he is.
What do you like most about underwear modeling? The way my body feels in spanx. Nothing compares to it. Except Depends. That compares. That actually may be better. I'm changing my answer to Depends.
How much do clothes cost in the Matrix? 5 bitcoins.
Hi joel! Loved you in Grandma's Boy and Avatar! I found it interesting that your avatar died with you still connected, and your character essentially experienced death. Will we be seeing you in future Avatar movies? Also, just to keep things casual, what is your favorite color? :) That's very smart. Yes, we talked about that, and how that would effect someone. That was part of my 'hero' turn, and how tough the effects were coming out of the pod after my Avatar was shot.
They have announced 3 more avatar films. We are all very excited. And hush hushed. ;)
Did you enjoy making out with the Russian from Dodgeball? That Russan is the beautiful Missi Pyle, who is amazing.
Side question, What is Vince Vaughn like, I keep picturing him exactly like in the movie swingers, like all the time. He's exactly who you see. He's also brilliant, if that doesn't come through all the time.
Do you randomly ever start talking in the J.P (Grandma's Boy) robot voice? I keep that inside. If he comes out, he is dangerous.
What would you say was the best part of working on Dodgeball? 2.Why was there never a sequel to dodgeball?!! There was a sequel announced to Dodgeball this year. We're very excited, and hope to tell you more about it soon.
Wasn't there some sex scene with you and Michelle Rodriguez that we missed out on? In the extended version of Avatar (avail on dvd and blue ray) you see our love story. It was cut out of the theatrical release.
Joel! This is Jason. Was great to see you last week. I made sure to take home a picture of your dad (no homo). My only question is whether you've seen this meme : You don't like dubstep? It's not meme'ing on my computer I'll have to check it later. Either way, you still have a picture of my dad. So...
How good is your Alan Rickman impersonation? Talk slow and carry a large stick.
Hey Joel! Was it difficult staying in character as JP in Grandma's Boy with such a quirky character and such a funny co-cast? Very difficult. I broke a lot. Swardson would feed me the most ridiculous lines, and I would try to get them out without laughing. Needless to say, I failed a lot.
How close did you become with everyone on the Bones cast? After 5 seasons you become close. They are the best, they have so much fun, are so kind, and take their jobs seriously (when we all have to).
Do you agree that avatar was the best movie of all time? I really loved your acting in the movie. You did a great job. I can't say whether it was the best. It was the biggest, and we know that because of statistics. But the 'best' is subjective. Everyone has different likes, and enjoy different things. Every person has a different favorite movie. That's what makes my industry so interesting. It's all personal.
Have you ever had Mac n cheese in your underwear? The real question is... have I ever NOT.
Why not? Seriously though... You do some for pleasure, and some for work. You don't know how any film will end up. Some don't turn out as well as others. But thats the journey. From big budget to small, not all things are amazing.
Did you associate with any of the music tied to CBGB before the movie, or did you pick it up after you were cast? Also, what are your normal musical preferences? I was a skater kid when I was young, so Punk was HUGE to me. One of my first cool t-shirts I ever owned was Ramones. I grew up in Portland, so we were close to the revamped Punk movement in Seattle, with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc... When I was young I didnt know they were different movements. It was all just music I liked.
I kind of listen to it all. Grew up loving rap and hip hop. Still am a fan. But I mostly enjoy singer songwriter; Damien Rice, Paolo Nutini, David Gray, Deathcab, Iron and Wine. Those are non stop for me.
Did you ever go to CBGB's when it was open? I never had the chance to, but because of all the studying I did for it, I felt like I have! There's such a rich history in that place. The movie is a love letter to the Punk rock movement. It's a fascinating time and story.
Hi, thanks for doing this AMA, What was your favorite part about working on set and with the cast of Avatar? Working on Avatar was fascinating from beginning to end. There really isn't one moment, the entire thing was like going to graduate school. Every day you're learning something new from Cameron. He is arguably the smartest man I've ever met, so it's all an educational experience. The cast was phenomenal on this, and I can't wait for our future work together. This will be my 5th season of Bones, and I've enjoyed every moment with that cast and crew. I have an exciting project on the TV side that will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
You are a very versatile actor. What's your favorite type of project to be involved with, and why? As a character actor, there is a lot of freedom to bounce back and forth in genres of film. That's what I love about it. I love making people laugh, but I'm not a 'comedian'. I play roles that may be funny, but I grew up doing dramatic as much as comedic. That probably helped round out my interest and ability in both genres.
I used to live around the corner from CB's. I remember being there and all the candles out in front of the place when Joey died. I got to see the Ramones on their final tour when I was 16 and would see Joey walking around the East Village all the time and was completely in awe. Are you a fan of them? How is Rickman as Hilly? I've been excited about this film since I've heard of it. I just hope its true to form as to how the place was, I've been there a lot and its a huge thing to me. Do they touch on the Cro-Mags at all? Also, is there going to be an Avatar 2 & 3? If so, what's the schedule for that? Thanks! Wow. Thats amazing. I never got a chance to see The Ramones in concert, and regret that. Was such a fan of their music when I was young. There was over 50k bands that went through CB's, so they had to choose a handful to cover. But I think Randy (director) chose the right ones to represent everything that Cb's was.
Yes, the sequels to Avatar are announced, and coming up. And we're all excited about them.
The Hottie and the Nottie. Why? Why not?
Hi, Joel, I love you on 'Bones', you're hilarious! :-) What makes you laugh? Are you ticklish? If so where and do you have ticklish feet? Tickling me makes me laugh. So yes, I'm ticklish. My feet are as well. Unless you have a foot fetish and you're trying to get something out of me... cuz in that case... HELL YES.
Is this whole 'acting' thing just a way to afford robot legs? How close are you if so? It really does. I'm close... very close...
Favourite pair of underwear? Yours.
How did you decide how to portray a character like Joey Ramone? Did you speak with the living Ramones, Tommy, Marky, CJ, or Richie? No but I spoke to a lot of friends of Joeys. A lot was done through Lisa Krystol, Hillly's daughter, who was there the entire time helping the cast. She's a gem.
Hey, I'm a huge fan of yours and I just wanted to know - what do you want to have achieved in the next 5 years (like finally going skydiving or winning an academy award)? I've gone skydiving. I don't worry too much about an academy award. That's something I don't think actors dwell on. It's not a tangible goal, until something is made that could reach that level. When we made Avatar, we didn't even know it would take home Oscars. It's all about the process.
FISHER!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN. i have a terrible memory when it comes to remembering what happened on TV shows. where have you been on bones. did something happen to you that you wont be returning to bones. or will you be back? As our Governator says... I'll be back.
Any plans on working with the Happy Madison gang again? Of all the good lines in Grandna's Boy, my friends and I quote you the most. Any improv lines from you for that character? It was geeen... -ius. A lot of it was improv. Swardson would holler out different lines to say, and we'd try to keep a straight face saying them.
Any news on a sequel to Avatar? 3 sequels announced.
Holy shit, I found an AMA in time to ask a question. How do you act amazed by the environment in a movie like Avatar, when so much of the movie is CG? Because we had all the tools necessary to understand what was surrounding us at all times. Mo Cap world takes a lot of imagination, but its fun, it takes you back to doing theater, and imagining everything around you.
Do/did you smoke weed? I figure anyone involved with Grandma's Boy might but there's always a chance you don't partake. Not a huge fan of it. But don't have an issue with it, politically.
How did you get into character as Joey Ramone? Books, articles, docs. And talking with people who knew him. I studied his performances, the way he shrugged his shoulder, the way he held his head, his hands, the mic... everything.
Joel, How much of your character in Bones was you and how much was scripted? It just seems like the character fit so well. I really enjoyed it when they gave you screen time. The character, as you know if you're a follower of the series, has changed in time. It's been a blast to create and change him along the way. He's a very complex, fun character, and he will continue to change. That's what I like about him.
The Ramones is my favorite band and when I heard you were playing Joey Ramone, my first reaction was mixed, but I then saw the trailer and I was immediately impressed. I think you did him justice. The movie looks amazing and I can't wait to see it. What was the hardest part of becoming Joey Ramone? Did you learn anything about him that surprised you when prepping for your role? I've talked a lot about this above, so check those answers out. It was an honor to portray him, and I'm happy you think I did him justice. It was what I was most worried about, because he's such an iconic character.
Who's Steve the piriate? Logistically, Alan Tudyk.
What was it like doing Shark Night in 3D? Your character was my favorite in that (you seemed like the only one who wasn't like a flat stock character), shame you got killed off. Also, do you think any of those sharks would survive in the Wilamette River? Since those were salt water sharks, no. They wouldn't do well in fresh water. They also wouldn't do well with all the Granolas in P-town either. Sharks get sad quickly.
Weren't you in a weird movie involving some backwoods murders in New Orleans? Hatchet.
Just happy to catch a AMA quite early :) So here is a question, what is your all time favourite food? My mothers Spaghetti.
How does it feel to be part of a movie that was voted as the best of its year (Avatar)? An amazing feeling, and all in all the movie was an amazing feat. It was incredibly difficult to make, and at times I'm sure we all felt 'is all this going to work?' But Cameron had no doubts, and thats why it is what it is. And why he is who he is.
Joel, JP is probably my favorite movie character ever. How did you film some of those choice scenes and keep a straight face? Did you have to cut repeatedly due to cracking up? Also, what percentage of his one-liners would you say were improvised?? We didn't. we cracked up all the time. A lot were fed to me by the brilliant Nick Swardson.
Yes. look above for some extensive answers on this. It was epic!
What was it like shooting Katy Perry's 'Waking Up in Vegas'? Katy is an epic talent. Much more than a pop star. There's a reason she is where she is. working with her and director Joseph Kahn was a delight.
Are you ever confused with Dirk Nowitzki? Have you ever met Dirk Nowitzki? Can you dunk? 1: I've had that 2: no 3: years ago. I'm tall so i've played bball my life. But my body decided in my 30's that dunking was not an option anymore.
I cannot begin to describe how much I loved your character in Grandma's Boy. You nailed it. There's a lot of films I wish I booked, every actor does.
Is there a more serious part you would really have loved to play in another film that you felt you would have been perfect for? But everything happens for a reason, and I'm very proud of the hard work and ups and downs, and what I've learned along the way.
Should I go see Killing Winston Jones when it comes out? Next year. Excited for everyone to see it.
Can you please list a few things you love, and dislike, about being an actoworking in film? Love the creativity, hate the business. That says it all. I'm sure every actor would agree.
When the business side gets in the way of the creative, it becomes very messy. I've dealt with that first person, and it never ends well.
There are a lot of mixed opinions on James Cameron. Is he as hard to get along with as everyone says? It's clear that he's a brilliant guy and he wants as perfect a job as possible. You've already said it was a learning experience all the time, but did it ever cross the line into abuse? Did you ever think, "this crap is so not worth it." :) Bottom line, what is Cameron like to work with day to day? He is one of the greatest, and THE hardest working person I've ever met. Don't believe the gossip.
What's Sigourney Weaver like? She seems like she could be a total badass off set. One of my favorite people I've met in this industry. Just classy all around. She's pretty amazing.
I'll avoid all these silly movie related questions and get a serious topic. How can I begin the process of getting robot ears? Google them. They're everywhere.
I love you in Grandma's Boy! I love you in a lot of things I've seen you in. What was your favorite character to play? What is your dream character that you would love to play and with who? G boy was one of my faves. Owen in Dodgeball another. I played Hitler in the film Chillerama, and that was a delightful ridiculous piece, that's quite brilliant if you haven't seen it.
If you could go back in time and play any role from any movie, which would you choose? Anything Tom Cruz did, because, come on!! That guy doesn't make bad movies! Think about it people!!! He doesn't!!! (I'm very passionate about this. #TOMCRUZFORPRESIDENT)
What's a genre of film that you haven't been in, but really want to try out? I've finda been around all genres. I guess I'll search out a Film Noire movie to be in.
When was the last time you almost died laughing? When will we see a love interest for you on Bones? What's your biggest weakness? What's one thing fans would never guess about you? Cheer-o! xx. 1: I laugh all the time. never hospitalized though so I think I'm doing well. 2: all being discussed. 3: Bunnies 4: I own a home full of bunnies.
Dear Joel, Not a big fan here, I'd say I'm just a moderate fan of an appropriate degree per the quality of work you produce... anyway... now that you're directing more what would you say the biggest challenge is for the US concerning North Korea? Adam, you need to worry more about the 'friends' you keep than foreign country debate. Also, can you reheat my coffee I'm busy making people happy.
So what you're saying is, a steadfast military front and good relations with their neighboring nations? Solid. Yes. Run with that. (And make sure people know I said it)
Hey Joel. How hard was it playing Hitler... I mean really... was it tough? Or just silly fun? My friend was in a section of that movie and he said he had a ton of fun. Didn't know how to feel about it at first. But since there were a lot of Jews on board (even the writedirector Adam Green, who is a very good friend of mine) I decided it was ok. It turned out great!
Are you ticklish? If so, where are your tickly spots? This is my second ticklish question in 5 minutes. Have I accidentally hopped on to a tickle fetish forum? If so, HERE I AM WORLD!!
Solid job in Avatar! What was it like working with James Cameron? Also how did you get into this career and what made you choose it? Thanks for doing the AMA! Thanks! Working with Cameron is the single most educational and special experience of my career.
I started acting when I was 15, went to college for it, graduated from SOU, then worked 2 seasons at Oregon Shakespeare Fest before I came to LA. So, a lot of hard work before making the decision to get into this industry.
Do you live techno? do you have robot ears? Do I live it? Sure. I also love it.
Favorite sandwich? Favorite beverage? Favorite shoes? I'm trying to ask something that'll get answered because I never get into an AMA on time. By the way, congrats on your new movie. I plan to watch it. I think you're adorable. :-) Tuna, Manhattan, Sanuks.
Anyway, do you have a favorite line from Grandma's Boy? What was the best part of being a part of that movie? Best part was meeting the guys who are now my good friends in life.
You had all the best advice in Art School Confidential. Did you talk to Dan Clowes much during the making of the film? How heavily did his input impact your performance? Of course, Dan is great. Such a true talent that one. Jealous...
I thought CBGB was fairly entertaining, but it's not getting the best reviews. Does that bother you, or do you figure, "Well, I did my part... The rest is up to the director and the other actors"? Not at all. Everything is subjective. We are proud of it. It's getting great reviews from people who count. ;)
Was the production of Shark Night was fun as it looked on screen? I'd imagine filming a campy summer movie would be more fun than a serious role. The cast and director was the reason I did that film. It was a blast to make. Shot in real 3D, none of that post 3D conversion. We all had the wonderful opportunity to know and work with David Ellis before he passed away. Memories I will never forget.
How is Paris Hilton in real life? She is wonderful. Seriously.
So did you and samantha end up getting together at the end? because fuck alex, you're a RO-BOT-bzzt. loved the window licker too. Who's to say we didn't yeah?!
Okay, first off, this is awesome. Are you actively pursuing a Grandma's Boy sequel starring your character? If not, you should be. What do you think that guy's doing with his life and what percentage cyborg is he? For that matter, what do you think the optimal number of cybernetic implants are for a person aspiring to robot hood? There has been discussion of that. Stay tuned!
Seeing as you've got insider information, is Pandora all it's cracked up to be? More.
Did you even so far that you totally decided? I want to understand what this means so I can answer. Can we try again?
I remember hearing something about you and Zachary Levi working on a pilot together at some point, did that ever happen? I still remember watching an episode of Chuck and going "Hey, when did Bones and Chuck merge?" Yeah, we did a pilot but it didn't get picked up. Bummer. We alway search for things to work together on though so there will be more.
I realize that I'm incredibly late to the party, but I'll take a shot. Firstly, I absolutely LOVE you in Bones. I adore that show! What are Emily and David like in real life? Thanks! Both great, both hard workers, both successful for a reason. It's not a mistake when people lead shows that last for 9 years. They are the tops.
Okay you already answered one of my questions, which is awesome. But here's another: You acted in dodgeball (which I'm sure you know) and you had this.. Hideous love interest whose name I cannot spell. What was it like having to make out with her at the end? Odd question I know. That actress was the beautiful Missi Pyle, so... it was easy... ;)
Hey Joel, I'm your number one fan. I loved the hottie and the nottie but I must say Bones is like my favourite show. I record all of the episodes and rewatch your scenes again and again and again until my freaking mom takes the freaking zapper ugh. Anyway do you like my username? I just wanna say I love you and remember STAND I YOUR LIGHT! <3 Okay question time what are you being for halloween my love? xxx fisherwoman666. Got ya. answered you. no need to repeat. xoxo.

Joel! Loved you in art school confidential, grandma's boy, and dodgeball! My question: If you could make another movie like grandma's boy, about JP, would you do it? SURE.
Love you in Bones... your macabre negativity is kind of brilliant. I love that. Macabre Negativity...
Also, have you figured out that operation for giving yourself robot legs yet? I really hope that pans out... Not yet. Soon...
Hi Joel! I was wondering if you've heard anything regarding any potential Avatar sequels such as when they could be coming out or any early plot ideas? 3 are announced.
Ever miss The Joy of Christmas? YES! And all my DC folk!
Is Alan Rickman as terrifyingly brilliant/just plain terrifying as I imagine him to be in person? And more.
Hey Joel! What's the funniest thing that has ever happened while you have been on set? Probably the pranks I pulled with Jason Biggs on the movie Grassroots. You can google them and find them on youtube.
How is working with Ashley Greene? She's a dear friend, and a wonderful gal. Adore her.
Out of all the actors you have worked with who would you say the funniest was, and who was the easiest to work with? Vince Vaughn. Hands down.
So how much DO clothes cost in the matrix? 5 bitcoins.
Hi Joel. I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved 'Spiral'. One of my favourite movies ever. The writing, the acting, the parallels of plot with jazz, and paintings. You were fabulous. Thank you for doing just a great job. Please keep writing. Hi. Thanks! I wrote, directed, produced and played the lead of Spiral. It's my baby, and a passion project for all involved. Tell your friends! (and enemies, they need art too)
YESSS, I also enjoyed Spiral! The thing with the teeth was great. The teeth thing was based off of a habit I had when I was a kid. I'm a man of many ticks, so I may as well play into them!
Yeah, I thought Spiral was fantastic too - I watched it initially to see Zac, otherwise I mightn't have heard about it, but I was totally blown away by both your performance & the film itself. Keep writing :) Sorry! missed this. Thank you, we put it all out there for this film. Zac is an incredible talent. All his work proves that.
Hey guys look its Steve the pirate. Just Steve.
Wish I was known for underwear modeling. Me too :(
PLEASE SIT ON MY FAAACE. EUUW EUUW REAAAH. Are you having an aneurism?
My friend dirk works on bones in the sound dept. tell him Mike from Phoenix says hi! I WILL.
FISHY FISHY FISHY COME TO MAMA Are you really a fish?
Hey Joel! It was good to have you in Savannah last summer. I didn't get to meet you, but many of my friends worked on CBGB with you. All the best! Thanks! Love Savannah. I took a project that I directed back to that city because I fell in love with it.
